Wax It

Is great for painting on with either a small brush or sculpting tool to harden the wool and/or give texture.

First melt the wax in a wax burner (eg. a burner for candle melts), then apply to the area you want to harden eg, feet or beak, you can then rub it smooth once it has cooled and hardened a little, or use a sculpting tool to add texture.

I have even dipped the wool into the wax, waited until it has cooled to touch, then squished it with my fingers, it becomes a bit like a clay that you can shape (that does take a bit of practice).
